We are a registered Scottish Charity, founded in 1993. SHIF is a national umbrella organisation representing the interests of survivors of brain injuries, their families, and those who work with them through our 3 annual conferences across Scotland.

It’s been a few years since we were in the granite city and we’re looking forward to showcasing the services in Aberdeenshire and also the Highlands.
GLASGOW – 3 Dec 2026
Our next event is in Glasgow City Centre, where we’ll be focusing on AI and technology to support those affected by brain injury.
EDINBURGH – 4 Mar 2027
We return to the Edinburgh City Chambers for our third Open Forum, focusing on all things ‘Hidden’ for those affected by brain injury.
